An opportunity currently exists for a Food Technologist– R&Don; a full-time fixed term for 12 months.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Conduct in-depth research on emerging food technologies,ingredientsand processing
n
- Lead the evaluation and application of emerging ingredients, technologies and processing solutions to support business growth and innovation.
n
- Lead flour and ingredient performance assessments to support product consistency and customer outcomes.
n
- Develop and optimise formulations across bakery applications, including breads,sweetgoodsand functional nutrition products.
n
- Applyexpertisein ingredient functionality, flourperformanceand baking technologies to solve product and process challenges
n
- Develop andmaintainproduct specifications, trial reports,



technicalassessmentsand project documentationthrough Optiva and Sensai.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
n
- Strong understanding of the bakery category
n
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards.
n
- 5+ years of experience in food product development.
n
- Deep understanding of ingredient roles (e.g., emulsifiers, stabilisers, proteins, enzymes, fibres).
n
- Experience in optimising ingredient interactions for texture, flavour, shelf-lifeand nutritional value.
n
- Experience with sensory analysis and consumer testing.
n
