Position

An exciting opportunity is now available for a qualified Mechanical Technician to join the Melbourne team.

n

This is a hands-on role combining workshop and field service work, offering variety and exposure to a broad range of hire equipment.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Pre-delivery, commissioning, servicing, and repair of hire equipment
n
- Workshop-based duties with field service work across Melbourne and occasional regional travel
n
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs
n
- Mechanical assembly, fit-outs, and commissioning of new and used equipment
n
- Servicing petrol and diesel-powered generators, compressors, and lighting towers
n
- Providing high-quality technical support to customers both on-site and remotely
n
- Coordinating maintenance schedules and responding to service requests
n




- $45 - $50 per hour (Negotiable on exp.) + super + regular overtime available

Candidate

n

Applications are open to all qualified mechanical tradespeople. Experience within the hire, construction, or industrial equipment sectors is highly regarded, but not essential.

Key Requirements:

n

n
- Mechanical trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or similar)
n
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
n
- Background in hire equipment, construction, or industrial environments (preferred)
n
- Exposure to general hire or access equipment (advantageous)
n
- Ability to work autonomously and manage field service tasks
n
- Valid Drivers License
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
