Job Description
Clarity Partners is looking for an experienced WHS Superintendent to join a tier-one mining and mine-site services contractor supporting operations across Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
n
This is a senior WHS leadership role responsible for providing both strategic direction and hands-on operational support across a diverse portfolio. Working closely with operational leaders, site teams and senior stakeholders, you will help drive critical risk management, assurance, compliance and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

The role has a strong operational focus, making it well suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, working directly with site leadership and helping turn WHS requirements into practical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide visible WHS leadership and act as a trusted advisor to operational and senior leadership teams.
n
- Lead the identification, assessment and management of critical risks and verify that controls are effective in the field.
n
- Oversee WHS assurance activities including audits, inspections, critical control verification and corrective action close-out.
n
- Lead and quality-assure significant and high-potential incident investigations, including ICAM investigations.
n
- Partner with operational leaders to build WHS capability through coaching, mentoring and practical support.
n
- Work with clients, contractors and regulators to maintain solid WHS standards and compliance across WA and NT.
n
- Analyse WHS data, identify emerging risks and drive continuous improvement across safety systems, processes and culture.
n

About You
n
n
- 10+ years' experience in mining, road haulage, civil construction or another heavy industry environment.
n
- 8+ years' experience in WHS,
including 5+ years in a WHS leadership role.
n
- Experience leading or influencing WHS teams across multiple sites and operational environments.
n
- Strong experience in critical risk and critical control management, incident investigation and WHS assurance.
n
- Experience with injury management/return to work, contractor management and regulatory engagement.
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation across WA and/or NT, including Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements.
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, clients, contractors and operational teams.
n
- Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong communication and decision-making skills.
n
- Diploma-level qualification in Work Health and Safety.
n
- Lead ICAM Investigations and Injury Management Coordinator qualifications.
n
- Current and valid driver's licence.
n
n
Experience with ISO 45001, psychosocial risk management and multi-state operations will be highly regarded.
n
