The Senior Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in managing and maintaining Access4's backend environments. The primary goal of this role is to ensure 99.999% system uptime while driving continuous improvement across all system functions and components.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in managing and maintaining Access4's backend environments. The primary goal of this role is to ensure 99.999% system uptime while driving continuous improvement across all system functions and components.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform daily maintenance and upkeep of backend systems.
n
- Drive constant improvements and innovations to strengthen system resilience.
n
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the engineering team and wider Access4 organisation, providing expert advice and solutions.
n
- Contribute to the engineering and R&D; functions to support the company's strategic goals.
n
- Serve as the on-call contact for after-hours events and system emergencies.

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
n
- Full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available).
n
- 5+ years' experience in Linux administration, including kernel and module-level expertise.
n
- 5+ years' experience managing on-premises environments.
n




- 3+ years' experience with Docker or other containerisation technologies.
n
- 3+ years' experience with Ansible or similar automation tools.
n
- 3+ years' experience developing in Python (additional programming languages highly regarded).
n
- 3+ years' experience with virtualisation technologies.
n
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP network stacks and monitoring systems.
n
- Experience with database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) preferred.
n
- Knowledge of VoIP technologies (SIP) desirable.
n
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Organised, methodical, and disciplined approach to operations and project delivery.
n
- Proficiency in the tools and technologies listed above.
