Operations Manager – Health, Disability & Community Services
Lead Operations Across a Growing Healthcare & Disability Organisation
Ambition Health Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operational performance of our growing organisation.
Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, this is a senior leadership position with responsibility for ensuring our departments, service divisions and operational teams work together effectively and deliver safe, compliant, efficient and financially sustainable services.

The Role
As Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and accountability across key operational functions including service delivery, rostering, intake, SIL/accommodation, workforce, HR, finance/billing, administration and other operational teams.
You will work closely with department leaders to strengthen performance, improve systems, resolve operational barriers and ensure actions are followed through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations across multiple departments, service streams and locations.
Manage and support department heads, managers and operational leaders.
Establish clear departmental KPIs, reporting expectations and accountability.
Conduct structured performance meetings and ensure actions are tracked through to completion.
Oversee service delivery, participant/client onboarding, service commencement, rostering, reviews, transitions and service continuity.
Monitor workforce capacity, staffing gaps, recruitment needs, training and competency requirements.
Work with Finance to monitor budgets,
service profitability, labour costs, billing integrity and operational performance.
Identify operational inefficiencies, financial leakage and recurring service issues and implement corrective actions.
Support compliance with applicable NDIS, aged care and other funded-program requirements.
Maintain strong oversight of incidents, complaints, safeguarding, risks and corrective actions.
Ensure operational teams remain audit-ready and maintain accurate service and workforce records.
Drive improvements to systems, processes, workflows, reporting and organisational efficiency.
Support responsible business growth, new services, tenders and operational readiness.
Build strong relationships with participants, families, staff, referral partners and other key stakeholders.
Provide clear and timely operational reporting to the Managing Directors.
Escalate significant operational, financial, workforce, regulatory or reputational risks promptly.
About You
We are looking for an experienced operational leader who can take ownership, make decisions, hold people accountable and get things done.
You will ideally have:
Significant management or operational leadership experience within disability, aged care, healthcare, community services or another regulated service environment.
Demonstrated experience leading managers, teams and multi-site or multi-service operations.
Strong understanding of service delivery,
workforce management and operational performance.
Experience managing KPIs, staff performance and departmental accountability.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgets, labour costs, profitability and performance reporting.
Experience with compliance, incidents, complaints, safeguarding, audits and corrective actions.
Working knowledge of the NDIS and/or aged care regulatory environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and leadership skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-moving organisation.
A strong focus on accountability, follow-through and continuous improvement.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Health, Human Services or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
What We're Looking For
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 4 - 5 Years of experience in Health Care (Disability & Community Services) Industry as a Operation manager
Full Australian working rights.
National Police Check.
NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness/ability to obtain one.
Ability to travel between company locations where reasonably required.
