Something big is happening at Kent Town Hotel. We've taken over the venue and we're bringing everything with us — award-winning food and drink, high‑energy team culture, and the belief that positive enough is never good enough. We're part of the Tilley & Wills Hospitality Group, an independent, multi‑award‑winning hospitality group with over 30 years running some of Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane's best‑loved venues, including Aanuka Beach House, Verandah Precinct, Cabana Bar, and now Kent Town Hotel.

As we bring Kent Town Hotel into a new era, we're building a leadership team who can match the ambition — and we're on the hunt for a Duty Manager who can run a shift like a conductor runs an orchestra: calm, sharp and always one step ahead of the chaos.

The Role

You'll be the go-to person on the floor — the one holding the whole venue together, from the moment the doors open to last drinks. Whether it's a quiet Tuesday lunch or a heaving Friday night, you'll be the steady hand keeping service flowing, the team motivated, and every guest looked after. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who genuinely thrives under pressure and takes real ownership of everything that happens on their shift.

What You'll Be Doing

- Running shifts front-to-back — from opening checks and cash float setup through to end‑of‑night reconciliation and lock‑up
- Leading, motivating and troubleshooting with the floor, bar and gaming team in real time
- Making sure RSA, RCG, WHS and licensing standards are upheld on every single shift,



no exceptions
- Handling guest feedback and the occasional curveball with professionalism and a level head
- Managing cash handling, security procedures and reporting requirements accurately
- Overseeing stock levels, ordering and basic rostering coverage during your shift
- Being the calm in the storm when the pub is three‑deep at the bar and the kitchen's slammed
- Supporting the wider management team with day‑to‑day operational decisions and escalating issues where needed

You Are

- An experienced hospitality leader with a proven track record running high‑volume shifts
- Skilled in restaurant and floor management within an à la carte dining environment
- Current RSA (mandatory) — RCG highly regarded
- A natural problem‑solver with sharp instincts, quick thinking, and a genuinely cool head under pressure
- A confident, hands‑on people‑leader who brings the best out of a team, especially on a big night
- Reliable, well‑presented, and just as comfortable behind the bar as you are managing the floor
- Someone who takes real pride and ownership in the standard of the venue on your shift
- Available across a mix of days, nights and weekends, including peak trading periods
