Job Description

We're on the hunt for a talented, passionate and highly creative Web Designer to join our team.

n

You'll be responsible for designing and building creative, high-performing websites across both Shopify and WordPress, taking projects from initial concept through to build, testing and launch.

n

This role goes beyond making websites look good. You'll be responsible for both the design and functionality of each site, ensuring every website is responsive, user-friendly, on-brand and built to achieve the best possible results for our clients.

n

You'll also be responsible for ongoing website updates and maintenance across our portfolio of client websites, including content changes, new pages, functionality updates, troubleshooting and general site improvements.

n

We work with businesses across a huge range of industries, from eCommerce brands to service-based businesses, so no two projects are the same.

n

This is a flexible hybrid role, with the ability to work from home and attend our South Hurstville office 1–2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and building engaging, responsive websites and landing pages across WordPress and Shopify
n
- Taking website projects from initial brief and concept through to build, testing and launch
n
- Creating custom page layouts and website assets that align with each client's branding
n
- Managing ongoing website updates, maintenance and improvements across existing client websites
n
- Updating website content, imagery, products, pages, navigation and functionality as required
n
- Troubleshooting website issues and resolving bugs or functionality problems
n
- Optimising websites for speed, performance, usability and scalability
n




- Ensuring websites are fully responsive and functional across desktop, mobile and tablet
n
- Conducting thorough website testing prior to launch and following updates
n
- Applying web design, UX/UI and industry best practices throughout the design and development process
n
- Ensuring website functionality, integrations and third‐party applications are implemented correctly
n
- Working closely with our marketing team and clients to understand briefs, objectives, branding and customer journeys
n
- Liaising with external developers, contractors and other stakeholders where required
n
- Managing multiple website projects, updates and deadlines simultaneously
n
- Providing internal support and client communication throughout the website build, launch and ongoing maintenance process
n
- Identifying opportunities to continuously improve the design, functionality and performance of client websites
n

About You:

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience designing and building websites across both WordPress and Shopify
n
- A strong portfolio of previous website work
n
- Robust understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design and conversion‐focused web design
n
- Strong understanding of both the aesthetic and functional requirements of a high‐performing website
n
- Experience with eCommerce functionality, Shopify apps,



WordPress plugins and third‐party integrations is required
n
- Experience maintaining and updating existing WordPress and Shopify websites
n
- Strong attention to detail with an excellent eye for layout, typography, spacing and visual hierarchy
n
- Ability to translate a brand identity into a creative and cohesive digital experience
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- Ability to confidently manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
- Proactive, solutions‐focused and comfortable troubleshooting website issues
n
- Able to work efficiently in a fast‐paced agency environment
n
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with both clients and internal team members
n
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new platforms, plugins, apps and technology
n
- A genuine desire to grow with the agency
n
- Experience with HTML and CSS is highly preferred
n
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website performance optimisation is highly regarded
n
- Flexible hybrid working – work from home with only 1–2 days per week in our South Hurstville office
