Shams & Yass Pty Ltd trading as Mandi Al Arabia Perth, located in Morley, WA 6062, is seeking a full-time Cook who is qualified, experienced and passionate about producing high-quality food in a busy commercial kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow within a energetic and supportive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities and Duties will include, but not limited to:

n

n
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, menus and food safety standards
n
- Examining food ingredients and seasoning food during preparation and cooking to maintain consistent taste
n
- Regulate the temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment, store food in accordance with food safety requirements.
n
- Portion meals, arrange food on plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes.
n
- Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies and customer preferences.
n




- Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste through proper storage and portion control.
n
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen work area and follow sanitation procedures.
n
- Follow workplace health and safety, food handling
n
- May train and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff and apprentices, where required.
n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Certificate Ill in Commercial Cookery or Cert IV in Kitchen Management (or relevant equivalent experience)
n
- Proven experience as a Commercial Cook in a high-volume restaurant is essential
n
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high food quality, safety and hygiene protocols.
