Box Hill Institute | Part-time, Fixed-term Position

Join our Creative, Business & Technology team at Box Hill Institute as our Teacher - Celebrancy and deliver high-quality learning experiences that support student success and career outcomes.
n
This teaching opportunity is based at our Melbourne CBD campus, with classes running Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
n
This is a part-time (0.4 EFT), fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2027. Salary ranges from $91.42 - $98.77 per hour (dependent on qualifications & experience) plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
n
As a Teacher - Celebrancy, you will deliver innovative and engaging training that equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in celebrancy. Working within the Faculty of Creative, Business & Technology, you will develop high-quality learning resources,
facilitate student learning, assess student progress, and maintain strong connections with industry to ensure course content remains current and relevant.

What you'll do:
n

- Deliver engaging face-to-face and blended learning sessions that support diverse learning styles.
n
- Develop and maintain high-quality teaching, learning and assessment resources.
n
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
n
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
n
- Work closely with industry stakeholders to ensure training remains relevant and current.
n
- Support students to achieve successful employment and further education outcomes.
n
- Utilise learning technologies, including Moodle, to enhance the student experience.
n
- Positively represent Box Hill Institute through industry engagement and promotional activities where required.
n
n
About You:
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of industry expertise, teaching capability and a passion for student success.
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or a higher-level teaching qualification.
n
- Certificate IV in Celebrancy (or equivalent qualification and relevant industry experience).
n
- Experience developing and delivering training programs and learning resources for adult learners.
n
- Demonstrated ability to create compliant training and assessment materials.
n
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- Experience using Learning Management Systems, such as Moodle.
n
- Ability to engage, motivate and support students from diverse backgrounds.
n
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive and safe learning environment.
n
- Alignment with a child-secure, inclusive and values-based workplace
n
- Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
n
