Underground Operator – Production Driller

n

Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor you will ensure that all aspects of operations are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with Company and Legislative standards and procedures.

n

These are permanent positions are offered on a 7:7 roster.

n

Responsibilities include (however not limited to):

n

n
- Following shift plan instructions as directed by your supervisor, ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
n
- Knowledge of underground mining practices and productive operation of production drills
n
- Read and accurately follow engineering design plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design taking into account depth and deviation.
n
- Epiroc long hole rig experience preferred.
n




- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure production targets are met.
n
- Real time communication with Mine Control of all physical measures and delays
n
- Completion and submission of all required shift reports and documentation to the Shift Supervisor
n
- Conducting a thorough, timely and informative end of shift handover with your cross shift
n
- Attend and actively participate in all required site and MMG training courses and meetings
n
- Ensure that all assigned vehicles are operated in a safe and clean condition at all times
n
- Using all provided equipment safety and within its design capability and purpose
n
- Carrying out effective high quality workplace inspections, ensuring correct signage (warning/hazards) are used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures.

- Abide by Workplace Management Procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, visions and values, and MMG Code of Conduct.
n

About You:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with at least 1 year of Production Drilling experience
n
- Experience with working in production and development crews or operating in this environmentwith an extensive knowledge off underground mining equipment and techniques.
n
- Ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments.
n
- A willingness to partake in Pre-Employment Medical and D&A; Screen and Background checks.
n
- A manual C Class driver's license.
n
- First aid certificate – desirable.
n
- Working at Heights Certificate - desirable
n
- Unwavering commitment to safety and proven history of safe work practises
n
