Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our growing team, delivering high-quality survey solutions across road, civil, and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. This role suits a survey professional who thrives on technical challenges and takes ownership of projects from field capture through to final deliverables.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and construction surveys for road, drainage, and civil infrastructure projects
n
- Manage field crews and survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GNSS/RTK, and terrestrial LiDAR scanning
n
- Produce as-constructed survey data in line with TMR standards
n
- Process, QA, and deliver survey datasets using 12d Model/Trimble Business Center (TBC)
n
- Prepare survey control networks
n
- Liaise directly with clients, engineers, and TMR representatives on project scope, staging, and deliverables
n
- Review and check survey outputs prepared by junior and intermediate surveyors
n
- Plan and oversee drone/LiDAR survey capture, including flight planning and airspace considerations
n
- Prepare technical reports, survey plans, and certification documentation
n
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and workplace health & safety requirements

About you

n

n




- Degree or Diploma in Surveying
n
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in engineering or construction surveying
n
- Demonstrated experience with TMR projects, standards, and documentation requirements
n
- Strong working knowledge of 12d Model, Trimble software (TBC, Access, etc...), and Trimble GNSS/robotic total station systems
n
- Experience with LiDAR scanning (Drone or SLAM-based systems) and point cloud processing (highly regarded, not essential)
n
- Current QLD driver's licence
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage field teams autonomously
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and high attention to detail
