A day in the life...
n
You're a driven Editor joining our News team in Sydney that will be liaising with Producers/ Reporters to achieve the required polished result!
n
You will be reporting to the Media Operations Manager.
n
More specifically, you will
n
n
- Edit high-quality news content with speed and accuracy, consistently meeting tight broadcast and publication deadlines.
n
- Collaborate closely with Producers and Reporters to deliver compelling stories that align with editorial and creative objectives.
n
- Thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering under pressure with minimal supervision.
n
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail and quality control across all edited content to ensure broadcast-ready standards.
n
- Contribute to a positive,
safe and inclusive workplace culture, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork and respect while supporting a rotating shift roster, including weekends.
n

What Will You Need
n
n
- Proven experience editing news, current affairs or fast-turnaround broadcast content in a deadline-driven workplace.
n
- Strong proficiency in professional video editing software, with the ability to produce high-quality content quickly and accurately. Quantel experience desirable.
n
- Excellent editorial judgement and attention to detail, ensuring content meets broadcast standards and editorial guidelines.
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise workloads effectively, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom.
n
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Producers, Reporters and broader production teams to deliver engaging news stories.
n
