Job Description

Operate and run the production lines within the plant to ensure quality of product is satisfactory

n

Complete production paperwork

n

Ensure production machinery is running smoothly

n

Have a solid understanding of advance manufacturing plants

n

Manage and run two shifts and the associated production team

n

Report directly to the operations manager

n

Be able to conduct production line setup and changeovers

n

Translate production plans into practical daily and weekly manufacturing schedules

n

Monitor production performance, schedule adherence, labour efficiency and resolve production constraints

n

Manage and drive continuous improvement projects within the plant

n

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

n

n




- Experience working within the fast moving consumer goods industry (min 5 years)
n
- Experience operationally working in a factory environment
n
- Exceptional problem solving skills
n
- Relevant mechanical / engineering background required
n
- Forklift license a must
n
- Understanding of how a production line operates
n
- Ability to demonstrate managerial traits and qualities
n
- Mixing/batching/blending experience advantageous
n
