Job Description

I'm partnering with a global consulting firm supporting a large-scale Federal / Defence environment, and we are looking for an Azure specialist who can help design, shape and deliver secure cloud solutions across complex infrastructure and application landscapes.

This role will suit someone who is strong across Azure architecture, cloud migration, landing zones, security, governance and modern cloud engineering practices.

n

Current NV1 clearance is required.
n Multiple locations ( Sydney / Melbourme / Canberra / Adelaide )
n Responsibilities

n

n
- Design and deliver secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures.
n
- Support cloud migration, modernisation and platform uplift initiatives.
n
- Develop solution designs, architecture patterns, technical roadmaps and design documentation.
n
- Work across Azure landing zones, networking, identity, security, governance and automation.
n
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, application, security and delivery teams.
n
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across Azure best practice.
n
- Support DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation practices.
n
- Ensure solutions align with security, compliance and operational requirements.
n
- Engage with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical cloud designs.

Skills required

n

n
- Strong experience as an Azure Cloud Architect, Solution Architect or Senior Azure Engineer.
n
- Deep hands-on experience across Microsoft Azure cloud services.
n
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, security, governance and landing zone design.
n
- Experience with cloud migration and modernisation programs.
n
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
n
- Experience with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes or Docker.
n
- Solid documentation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
- Ability to guide engineering teams while remaining close to the technology.
n
- Experience in Defence, Federal Government, consulting or regulated enterprise environments highly regarded.

Highly regarded

- Microsoft Azure certifications.
n
- Experience with AKS, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Monitor, Sentinel or ExpressRoute.
n
- Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
n
- DevSecOps or platform engineering experience.
n
