About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil labourer to join our team in Willoughby. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of Council infrastructure that supports the daily needs of our community.

n

You will be involved in roads, footpaths, kerb and gutter, stormwater drainage systems, traffic devices and other civil infrastructure assets.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out repair and maintenance of roads, footpaths, drainage systems, kerbs, traffic devices and Council infrastructure.
n
- Construct formwork and complete concrete finishing works.
n
- Coordinate labour, plant and materials to complete allocated works.
n
- Set up and maintain traffic and pedestrian control around work sites.
n
- Operate trucks and plant equipment where licensed and trained.
n




- Liaise professionally with residents, contractors and stakeholders.
n
- Comply with all WHS requirements and PPE standards.
n
- Assist other Council units as required and undertake overtime when necessary.
n
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction and/or civil maintenance.
n
- Ability to construct formwork and finish concrete.
n
- Positive physical fitness and ability to undertake manual labour.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Current Class C Driver License.
n
- Current White Card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
n
