In the role of Correctional Officer, you will:

n

n
- Supervise detainees and prisoners through regular observation and monitoring and interaction.
n
- Apply appropriate security measures to ensure the protected custody of detainees and prisoners, including conducting searches and monitoring property and equipment.
n
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, including conflict, injuries and medical incidents.
n
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports and case notes relating to prisoner behaviour, welfare, incidents, disciplinary matters and security issues.
n
- Escort detainees and prisoners within correctional facilities.
n
- Transport and supervise detainees and prisoners outside correctional facilities when required.
n
- Work collaboratively with other staff to support safe management of detainees and prisoners.

Salary Range - $66, 520 (13 Week Training), $92,677 - $102,092 Shift) plus 12% superannuation per annum
