Shutdown Boilermakers & Mechanical Fitters – Power Station Outage

n

An established and reputable engineering firm is seeking experienced and motivated Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to join the team for an immediate start on a Power Station outage near Chinchilla.

n

This is a major outage project with consistent hours, strong rates, and accommodation provided.

n

Roster:

n

n
- Monday to Saturday – 11-hour shifts
n
- Accommodation provided for the duration of the shut
n

n

The Role

n

You will be part of a structured shutdown crew working across fixed plant equipment within a Power Station environment. Duties will include but are not limited to:

n

n
- ROM bin wear liner replacement
n
- Breaker refurbishments
n
- Feeder refurbishments
n
- Chute inspections and wear plate replacement
n
- Sizer refurbishments
n
- Crusher overhauls
n

n

Work will involve heavy mechanical tasks, structural fabrication, confined space entry, rigging support, and working at heights in an outage environment.

n

Requirements

n

n




- Trade Qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
n
- Previous Power Station Experience (highly regarded)
n
- Minimum 2+ years of Power Station experience required
n
- Ability to pass D&A; test
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- White Card
n
- Current Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmospheres Certificates
n
- Licence to Perform High Risk Work - Elevated Work Platform (EWP) & Basic Rigging (RB) a bonus
n
- Boilermakers must demonstrate competency in all welding processes during skills testing
n
- Strong commitment to safety
