Barker Trailers has been manufacturing semi-trailers for over 50 years in Victoria, and we employ approximately 130 staff across our two sites – Woodend and Maryborough. Our products are sold Australia wide, and we are innovative leaders in design and development of products for the transport sector.

This is a hands-on role preparing and priming heavy trailer components to a high standard before top coating. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a robust work ethic, and understands the importance of quality finishes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing steel components for painting.
n
- Cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
n
- Mixing and applying epoxy and primer coatings.
n
- Operating conventional spray equipment.
n
- Identifying and rectifying surface imperfections.
n




- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
n
- Working with the production team to meet daily targets.
n
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
n

About You

n

n
- Previous experience as a primer or industrial spray painter.
n
- Experience in the heavy trailer, transport, manufacturing, or structural steel industry (preferred).
n
- Knowledge of epoxy primers and industrial coating systems.
n
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- A reliable attitude and strong work ethic.
n
