- Deliver podiatry services across Alice Springs and remote communities

- Support clients with diabetes-related foot complications and high-risk foot care

About Congress:
n
Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service providing comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal people across Alice Springs and surrounding remote communities.
n
As part of the Allied Health team, you'll work closely with Podiatrists, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Aboriginal Allied Health Assistants, GPs, Nurses and other health professionals to deliver culturally secure, person-centred care.
n
About the Role:
n
Based primarily in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), you will provide evidence-based podiatry services across a range of programs including Chronic Conditions, CHSP, NDIS and Medicare.
n
You will:
n
n
- Provide person-centred podiatry assessment and treatment
n
- Manage high-risk feet, wound care and offloading
n
- Independently manage a clinical caseload with senior support and mentoring
n
- Develop holistic care plans and support client self-management
n
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Provide training and mentoring to Aboriginal Allied Health Assistants and colleagues
n
- Contribute to quality improvement and community partnerships
n
- Undertake regular outreach to remote communities, including overnight travel of up to one week at a time
n
n
About You:
n
n
- Bachelor of Podiatry or equivalent and current AHPRA registration
n
- Experience managing complex and high-risk foot presentations
n
- Knowledge of community-based and multidisciplinary podiatry
n
- Understanding of working with Aboriginal and remote communities
n
- Strong communication, cultural awareness and collaborative skills
n
- Current driver's licence or ability to obtain
n
- Willingness to travel to remote communities by 4WD and light aircraft
n
- Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service, and knowledge of Medicare, CHSP and NDIS will be highly regarded.
