We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Managerto join our Engineering PMO team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Reports To Manger PMO.
n
The role of the project manager is to plan, execute and deliver projects to approved deadlines and budgets, coordinating the efforts of team members, internal resources, third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to specification.The role plays a critical role in the development of highly engineered products, orchestrating the complex process of new product development to meet business objectives, customer needs, and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:
n
n
- Agree the project scope, goals & deliverables in collaboration with the sponsor and key stakeholders.
n
- Ensure the project methodology and documentation comply with GME procedures and policies.
n
- Provide leadership, direction, motivation, support and inspiration to the project team.
n
- Create and maintain a project schedule detailing milestones, tasks & resources required for the project.
n
- Prepare project specific budget and costs estimates/forecasts.
n
- Create & execute project work plans, revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
n
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
n
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
n
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver as per the agreed scope, cost, and timeframe.
n
- Ensure adherence to the approved project schedules and budgets.
n
- Manage project level quality, environment, and OH&S; obligations.
n
- Minimise exposure to risk during the project through proactive risk & change management.
n
- Serve as the focal point for project issues with all involved parties.
n
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
n
n
Skills Required:
n
n
- Proficient in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc.
n
- Demonstrate people skills including delegating, motivating, and empowering others.
n
- Proven influencing skill such as gaining agreement, negotiating, persuading, and managing conflict.
n
- Skilled leadership abilities to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team workplace and get along with work colleagues.
n
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines.

Experience Required:
n
n
- 3 years' experience in managing projects with a focus on electronic consumer products.
n
- Experience in managing consumer electronic projects over the full product design lifecycle.
n
- Experience in team building, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
n
- Experience in project risk management, resource allocation and stakeholder communication.
n
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards, regulations, and best practice.
n
- Experience working within quality frameworks including ISO9001
n
n
Qualifications, Certifications and Memberships Required:
n
n
- Degree (or equivalent) in project management or a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical, Communications, Electronics, Mechanical)
n
- Able to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
n
