Job Description

As the Assistant Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all store operations, leading a dedicated team, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with IGA standards and Australian legislation.

Key responsibilities

- Determine product mix, stock levels and service standards in line with IGA's operational model
n
- Plan and implement purchasing and marketing strategies
n
- Set prices and promotions in line with profitability goals and supplier agreements
n
- Sell goods and services to customers and advise on product use
n
- Oversee inventory control and maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions
n
- Train, and supervise staff; manage rosters for 24/7 shift coverage
n
- Ensure store compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
n
- Maximise customer satisfaction and staff productivity
n
- Report directly to store manager and owner.

About you

n

n
- Minimum 1 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an IGA environment
n




- Solid leadership and team management skills
n
- Flexibility to work 18/7 shifts (5.00AM - 10.00 PM), including weekends and public holidays
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
- Full working rights in Australia
n
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business, Retail, or Management (highly regarded)
n
- Knowledge of IGA systems, Metcash procedures, and POS software
n
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
n

- Base salary from $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
