Factory Labourer - Day Shift - Approx $1,400 per week

Workfast is currently seeking motivated and reliable Factory Labourers to join our client's global industrial coatings operations team in Girraween, NSW.

n

Pay Rate: $33.05 per hour + OT penalties and Superannuation
n Shifts Available: Day Shift: 2:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday
n Location: Girraween, NSW

You'll be responsible for assisting in the galvanising and protective coating process, ensuring steel products are prepared, treated, and finished to the highest industrial standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking, safety-conscious individual to join a global leader in infrastructure finishes and metal coatings. We currently have a high volume of work, meaning there is plenty of overtime on offer for those looking to maximise their earnings.

What you need

n

n
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment
n
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks
n
- Must have drivers license and reliable transportation
n
- Must be willing for 12 hr shifts
n
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, files,



and cleaning equipment)
n
- Solid commitment to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) protocols
n
- High attention to detail to ensure quality finishes on all steel products
n
- Reliable transport to ensure consistent shift starts in Girraween
n
- Forklift Licence (LF) or Overhead Crane experience is highly regarded but not essential
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
n
- Full Australian working rights

What you will be doing

n

n
- Loading and unloading steel products onto jigs and racks for the galvanising bath
n
- Preparing steel surfaces by removing scale, rust, and debris
n
- Post-coating finishing, including grinding and filing to remove excess zinc or burrs
n
- Conducting visual quality inspections to ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards
n
- Assisting with the "wiring" and "unwiring" of various steel components
n
- Maintaining a clean and organised production floor to prevent hazards
n
- Working closely with the production team to meet daily output targets
n
- Recording production data and reporting any material defects to supervisors
n
- Actively participating in safety meetings and contributing to a "zero-harm" culture
n
