Cannon Hill Anglican College is a flourishing, co-educational, independent school that caters for 1355 students from Prep to Year 12, with a team of over 200 dedicated staff. The Role

The College is seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified professionals to lead our well established and highly regarded Arts Faculty. This full-time position commences in Term 1, 2027.

The Head of Faculty is responsible for the strong vision and future development of the ArtsCurriculum and Program for the College. The position will be responsible for the planning, scopeand sequence of curriculum and delivery of Arts activitiesfor the Secondary College for Years 7 - 12 across the following subject areas: Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Media.

The successful candidate will also work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Performance Music and the Performance Music Staff for coordination of co-curricular events and performances.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education, current Queensland College of Teachers registration, First Aid certification, and relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or professional memberships highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience teaching and leading within a Queensland secondary school context, particularly in curriculum development, educational leadership, and faculty management.

Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams through effective communication, emotional intelligence, and relationship building.

Comprehensive knowledge of the Queensland Curriculum, including Senior Secondary requirements, and a demonstrated capacity to implement innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning practices.

Strong understanding of student development and wellbeing, with the ability to foster inclusive learning environments that support diverse learning needs and promote student growth.

High level of competency in integrating digital technologies into teaching, learning, curriculum leadership, and administration.

Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning, professional excellence, and modelling high standards of conduct and practice.
