A growing, private equity backed wholesale and distribution business is seeking a Finance Manager to join its high-performing finance team. Operating across Australia and New Zealand, the business has expanded significantly through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

n

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this is a broad role responsible for the day-to-day finance function across a key business unit. You will oversee financial reporting, controls and compliance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and business integration.

This an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to develop broader commercial and people leadership capability.

The Challenge

n

As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing the end-to-end month-end and year-end close process, including journals, reconciliations and financial reporting
n
- Preparing monthly financial analysis and commentary for senior management
n
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and commercial decision-making
n
- Supporting statutory reporting,



tax compliance and the annual external audit
n
- Providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team
n
- Preparing financial analysis, business cases and recommendations to improve performance
n
- Supporting acquisitions and leading the finance integration of newly acquired businesses
n
- Driving process improvements, automation and standardisation across finance systems and controls
n

The Expertise

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
n
- CA or CPA qualification
n
- Strong financial accounting experience, including ownership of month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial controls
n
- Experience within a multi-entity, distribution, supply chain, wholesale, manufacturing or similarly complex business environment
n
- Exposure to inventory, working capital and operational finance
n
- Solid analytical capability, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis advantageous
n
- Confidence engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
n
- A proactive and improvement-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
n
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required
n
