Lead a great team and take ownership of a thriving food store

Paddington Food Hall is looking for a capable, energetic and people-focused Store Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our store.

n

This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, working alongside their team, looking after customers and making sure everything runs smoothly.

n

We are looking for someone who can lead by example, take responsibility for the store and create a positive, well-organised environment where both customers and staff enjoy coming to the store.

n

About the Role

n

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the store. You will work closely with your team to maintain high standards, deliver excellent customer service and ensure the store performs strongly.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Taking ownership of the daily operation and presentation of the store
n
- Leading, motivating and supporting the store team
n
- Organising staff, allocating tasks and managing daily workflow
n
- Preparing and managing staff rosters to ensure the store is appropriately staffed
n
- Ensuring shelves are well stocked, products are presented attractively and the store is maintained to a high standard
n
- Monitoring sales, wages, margins, stock levels and other key areas of store performance
n
- Managing stock ordering, receiving deliveries and maintaining effective stock control
n
- Working with suppliers to ensure reliable stock availability
n
- Implementing promotions and merchandising initiatives to maximise sales
n




- Training and developing staff and providing ongoing guidance and feedback
n
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and dealing confidently with customer enquiries and complaints
n
- Ensuring food safety, workplace health and safety and company procedures are followed
n
- Identifying issues and opportunities and taking initiative to improve the store
n
- Working closely with the owners/management to achieve the store's operational and financial goals
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is a natural leader and a great operator.

n

You don't necessarily need to have worked in a large supermarket or held a particular management title. What matters most is that you have the experience, maturity and confidence to run a store, lead a team and get things done.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- At least 2–3 years' experience in a store management, assistant management or senior supervisory role
n
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to bring out the best in your team
n
- A hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside the team when required
n
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, wages, margins and stock
n
- Experience with stock ordering,



stock control and merchandising
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
- The ability to prioritize and stay calm in a busy environment
n
- Excellent communication and people skills
n
- A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to customer service
n
- The confidence to make decisions and take responsibility
n

- Previous supermarket, grocery, food retail or similar experience will be highly regarded
