Programmed are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our client . Our client is a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, powering the circular economy by closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are seeking reliable and safety-focused Machine Operators to join their beverage can manufacturing facility in Clayton.

Working in a modern, highly automated production environment, you will play a key role in the manufacturing of aluminum beverage cans, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
n
About the Role
n
This is a hands-on role operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where aluminum sheets are processed through automated machinery to produce beverage cans. The production process includes can forming, automated washing, decorating, quality inspection and packaging.

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Operating and monitoring automated production machinery and conveyor systems
n
- Conducting quality inspections and removing damaged or defective products
n
- Responding to minor line stoppages and clearing jams where authorized
n
- Completing production and quality documentation
n
- Assisting with machine start-up, shutdown and changeovers
n
- Performing routine inspections and basic fault reporting
n
- Pallet handling and movement of materials
n
- Operating pallet jacks and warehouse equipment
n
- Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards
n
- Working safely around forklifts, trucks and mobile plant
n
- Following OH&S;, GMP and site procedures at all times
n
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production or machine operation
n
- Experience working with automated machinery or conveyor systems
n
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
n
- Good mechanical aptitude
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
n
- Solid commitment to workplace safety
n
- Reliable transport and flexibility to work rotating shifts
n
- LF Forklift License (desirable but not essential)
n
