Senior Case Management Officer

Location: Parklea Correctional Centre

Salary: $116,981 - $129,492 plus superannuation, environmental allowance, and leave loading

Employment type: Ongoing

Your Role

As a Senior Case Management Officer, you'll lead a Case Management Unit within the correctional centre, ensuring inmates have access to the interventions, services and support needed to reduce reoffending and prepare for successful reintegration into the community.

More than managing processes, you'll coordinate people, programs and partnerships that drive rehabilitation outcomes. Working at the intersection of offender management, stakeholder engagement and team leadership, you'll play a vital role in supporting positive behavioural change while leading a team committed to making a meaningful difference.

What You Will Do

As the leader of a Case Management Unit, you'll oversee the delivery of effective case management services within a dynamic correctional environment. You'll supervise, guide and support Case Management Officers, ensuring workloads are appropriately allocated and rehabilitation goals are achieved through consistent, high-quality practice.

You’ll coordinate offender case management activities from assessment and planning through to intervention and release preparation. This includes allocating and reviewing caseloads, monitoring progress and ensuring case management activities align with operational requirements and rehabilitation objectives.

You’ll manage a portfolio of more complex inmates where additional support, coordination and stakeholder engagement are required. By organising and chairing case conferences, you’ll bring together internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively address high-risk or high-needs cases and develop effective intervention strategies.

Working closely with Programs and Services teams, Classification and Placement, Parole Units and community service providers,

you’ll help maximise access to programs, support services and reintegration opportunities that contribute to reducing reoffending.

You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen case management practices, contributing to operational enhancements and supporting the development of systems and procedures that improve service delivery outcomes across the correctional environment.

What We Are Looking For

We're seeking an experienced and motivated leader who is passionate about rehabilitation, offender outcomes and supporting the development of others.

You’ll bring demonstrated experience in case management, offender services, human services, social work, psychology, community services or a related field, along with proven experience leading or mentoring staff in a complex service delivery environment.

You are highly organised, capable of balancing competing priorities and confident making decisions in a fast-paced operational setting. Your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills allow you to build productive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.

You’ll have experience managing complex cases, facilitating collaborative case planning and implementing person-centred approaches that support positive behavioural change. A commitment to professional integrity, continuous improvement and achieving meaningful rehabilitation outcomes is essential.

Most importantly,

you’ll be a resilient and capable leader who can motivate teams, navigate challenges and contribute to safer communities through effective case management practices.

At Corrective Services NSW, you’ll be supported to build a career—not just do a job.

You'll benefit from:

- Leading a dedicated team and influencing rehabilitation outcomes for individuals in custody.
- Make a meaningful community impact by supporting interventions that reduce reoffending and promote successful reintegration.
- Develop your leadership capability through ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders across corrections, programs, parole and community services.
- Be part of a purpose-driven organisation committed to continuous improvement, operational excellence and safer communities.
