About the role

n

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join the team delivering the Gateway to Bruce Upgrade — a significant transport infrastructure project in Brisbane's northern corridor. This high-profile project will enhance connectivity and capacity across one of Queensland's key motorway networks, involving complex staging, interface management and live traffic environments. As a Senior Planner, you will play a critical leadership role in driving program outcomes, working closely with construction, engineering and commercial teams to optimise methodology, sequencing and delivery strategy.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the development and optimisation of detailed construction programs
n
- Provide expert programming and sequencing advice across project teams
n
- Identify key risks, constraints and staging challenges in a live environment
n
- Develop fully resourced, cost-loaded schedules aligned to methodology
n
- Support tendering, procurement and project handover phases
n




- Monitor project performance against milestones, KPIs and earned value
n
- Lead program risk analysis, mitigation and opportunity identification
n
- Undertake delay analysis, EOT assessments and support claims
n
- Validate construction progress, productivity and delivery forecasts
n
- Mentor engineers and planners, building capability across the project team
n
- Drive planning best practice and continuous improvement
n

About you

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner on major infrastructure projects
n
- Civil Engineering degree (highly regarded)
n
- Strong background in road, motorway or large-scale civil construction
n
- Advanced knowledge of programming, delay analysis and contracts
n
- Proven ability to manage complex, staged construction environments
n
- High-level proficiency in planning and scheduling software
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement across site, client and commercial teams
n
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on delivery outcomes
n
