Job Description

Muree Golf Club is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our team in Raymond Terrace, NSW.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the Club, ensuring our accounts are accurate, up to date and maintained in accordance with relevant requirements and Club procedures.

This is a hands‐on role requiring someone with proven bookkeeping experience who is confident working independently and taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
- Bank, credit card and account reconciliations
n
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
n
- Payroll processing and associated reporting
n
- Superannuation and payroll-related obligations
n
- Assisting with BAS, GST and other statutory reporting requirements
n
- Month‐end processing and reconciliations
n
- Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
n
- General financial and administrative support
n
- Assisting with membership administration when required
n
- Preparing correspondence, spreadsheets and other documentation
n

About You

n

n
- Previous bookkeeping experience is essential for this position.
n
- We're looking for someone who has:
n




- Minimum 3 years' demonstrated bookkeeping/accounts experience – essential
n
- Strong practical knowledge and experience using Xero – essential
n
- Demonstrated experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
n
- Payroll processing experience
n
- Sound understanding of GST, BAS and general accounting principles
n
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
- Strong organisational and time‐management skills
n
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
n
- A professional and confidential approach when handling financial and employee information
n

n

Experience within a licensed club, hospitality or similar environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.

n

RSA and RCG qualifications are desirable, or a willingness to obtain them.
