Our client is a well-established and respected Surveying, Town Planning, Ecology and Project Management company, with offices located in Newcastle, the Central Coast and the Mid-Western region.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Drafting Managerto lead and oversee drafting operations across the business.

n

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced survey draftsperson looking to step into a leadership role, or an established drafting leader seeking a long-term opportunity within a growing multidisciplinary consultancy.

n

The business undertakes a wide range of projects across multiple disciplines including construction, engineering, cadastral, DTM, laser scanning and drone surveys.

n

About the Role The Drafting Manager will oversee the drafting function of the business, leading the drafting team while supporting the effective delivery of projects across multiple offices and disciplines.

n

The role will involve both technical drafting oversight and team leadership responsibilities, ensuring quality, delivery, resource management, workflow coordination and continuous improvement across drafting operations.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Leading and managing the drafting team across multiple offices
n
- Overseeing drafting quality, standards and project delivery
n
- Managing team workflows, resources and priorities
n
- Supporting project teams across various surveying disciplines
n




- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within drafting operations
n
- Undertaking drafting tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D associated with survey projects
n

About You The successful applicant will ideally possess:

n

n
- Strong experience within the surveying and drafting industry
n
- Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D capability
n
- Leadership or team coordination experience
n
- Strong organisational and communication skills
n
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Ability to manage workflows, priorities and deadlines across multiple projects
n
- Experience or interest in Sewer and Water Design, Laser Scanning and 3D Modelling highly regarded
n
