Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with one of Australia's leading Mechanical Contractors?

We're partnering with a nationally recognised Tier I contractor that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering some of Australia's most technically challenging building services projects. Due to continued project wins and a strong forward workload, they are looking to appoint an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Sydney team.

The Opportunity

n

You'll become part of an experienced engineering team responsible for delivering the mechanical design of major HVAC systems from concept through to construction. Current projects include high-profile healthcare developments with mechanical services packages exceeding $100 million, alongside an impressive portfolio of commercial, data centre, education and university projects.

n

This role will provide exposure to technically complex chilled water systems, multidisciplinary collaboration and the opportunity to contribute to some of Australia's most recognised developments.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Mechanical HVAC design across major building services projects
n
- Design and coordination of chilled water systems and associated plant




n
- Prepare engineering calculations, equipment selections and technical documentation
n
- Produce detailed design solutions compliant with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code
n
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects and construction teams
n
- Support project delivery from concept design through to construction and commissioning
n
- Review designs and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery
n

About You

n

To be considered you will ideally possess:

n

n
- Minimum 5 years' Mechanical Building Services Design experience
n
- Experience designing HVAC systems on large commercial, healthcare, retail, education or similar projects
n
- Strong knowledge of chilled water systems and central plant design
n
- Excellent understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and local design codes
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
n
- Full Australian working rights or a valid visa permitting full-time employment in Australia
n
