Painter and Decorator – Marsden Park NSW

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are assisting an established residential building firm to recruit an experienced Painter and Decorator based in Marsden Park NSW.

n

Our client delivers high-quality residential projects across Sydney and beyond, including new homes, renovations, granny flats and duplexes. With a robust pipeline of projects, they seek a skilled and qualified Painter and Decorator to join their team.

n

Tenure: Full time and ongoing
n Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 + superannuation per annum
n Location: Marsden Park NSW, with travel to building sites across Sydney and beyond as required.

n

Duties include:

n

n
- Complete interior and exterior painting and decorating across new homes, renovations, granny flats and duplexes.
n
- Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, filling and smoothing.
n
- Mix and match paints and finishes to required colours and specifications.
n
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, primers, sealers, undercoats and other protective and decorative coatings.
n
- Work from plans, specifications, colour schedules and instructions to achieve required finishes.
n
- Protect surrounding surfaces, fixtures and completed building work.
n
- Safely use ladders, scaffolding and other equipment for working at height.
n
- Safely handle and dispose of paints, stains and other potentially hazardous materials.
n
- Maintain equipment and clean, safe and organised work areas.
n
- Work effectively with builders, trades and other team members.
n
- Comply with WHS requirements and company procedures.
n

To be considered, you will:

n

n
- Hold a relevant trade Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
n
- Have at least one year of relevant painting and decorating experience.
n
- Be experienced across all aspects of the painting and decorating trade.
n




- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality residential finishes.
n
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
n
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
n
- Hold a current driver's licence.
n
- Be seeking a full‐time salaried position. This role is not suitable for subcontractors.
n
- Have unrestricted full‐time Australian working rights.
n
