About the role
n
As a Remote Area Nurse you will assess patient needs, administer treatments such as wound care, and promote health initiatives. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams to ensure secure practices and contribute to quality improvement efforts. Who are we looking for?
n
We're looking for RANs who can build strong, trusting relationships with both patients and the community. To be eligible you must have:
n
n
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a primary care or similar setting
n
- An understanding of the issues affecting the health and well-being of Aboriginal people in Central Australia including the social determinants of health
n
- Commitment to integrating Aboriginal values in practice
n
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to, live and work in remote locations
n
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and bring exceptional clinical skills, a proactive adaptable attitude, and a genuine respect for diverse patient backgrounds
n
- Hold a current Manual NT license and ability or willingness to learn to safely drive a large 4WD vehicle
n
n
