This is a permanent, residential Electrical Tradesperson role based in Avon — not FIFO. You'll be home every night, earning robust hourly pay under an Enterprise Agreement, without the fatigue and time away that comes with swing work.

- Monday to Friday - 0630 to 1430
n
- Accrued Day Off: One paid day off every four weeks (ADO)
n
- Current: $48.74 per hour + penalties
n
- From July 2026: $52.32 per hour (6% increase already agreed)
n
- Saturday and afternoon shift penalties apply
n

About the Role
n
We're looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson to join our Avon Rollingstock Maintenance team. This role is ideal if you want consistent work, competitive pay, and the ability to stay local.
n
You'll work on locomotives and rollingstock that keep WA and Australia moving, with plenty of support and training provided.
n
Key responsibilities include:

- Electrical maintenance, servicing and fault finding on rollingstock
n
- Preventive and corrective repairs
n
- Working to rail safety, technical and quality standards
n
- Completing maintenance documentation and reporting
n
- Supporting other WA depots when required under the EA
n
n
Rail experience is helpful but not essential — we'll train the right person.

About You
n
You'll need:
n
n
- Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
n
- Current WA A‐Grade Electrical Licence
n
- Strong commitment to safety
n
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
n
n
Previous experience in rollingstock, heavy industry or industrial environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
n
Pre‐employment rail medical and drug & alcohol screening apply.
