n The Role
n We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect & Reporting Lead to drive the design and delivery preparation of a modern Data & Reporting ecosystem.
n This role will define the future-state architecture, reporting framework, governance model, and implementation roadmap aligned to an AWS target-state architecture. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic objectives, reporting needs, compliance requirements, and current-state challenges into a scalable, governed, and delivery-ready data platform.
n Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead end-to-end data and reporting architecture across a large-scale transformation program.
n
- Define a target-state Data & Reporting ecosystem aligned to AWS cloud architecture principles.
n
- Design scalable lakehouse and analytics architectures using AWS-native services.
n
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models across ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, reporting, and consumption layers.
n
- Develop reporting frameworks including KPI definitions, semantic layers, dashboard standards, and report certification processes.
n
- Define data governance models covering ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, classification, privacy, and retention.
n
- Assess current-state platforms, reporting processes, and data flows to identify rationalisation opportunities.
n
- Drive reporting consolidation, dashboard standardisation, and self-service analytics capability.
n
- Support implementation planning, roadmap creation, and delivery sequencing.
n
- Provide architectural leadership across data, analytics, governance, and reporting initiatives.
n
- Engage senior business and technology stakeholders to align data capabilities with business outcomes.
n
- Produce architecture artefacts, standards, governance models, and implementation recommendations.

What You'll Need
n
n
- Experience across data architecture, data engineering, analytics, reporting, BI, or data transformation roles.
n
- Proven experience leading enterprise data transformation programs from assessment through target-state design and roadmap development.
n
- Hands-on experience designing AWS-based data and analytics platforms.
n
- Strong experience with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Glue Data Quality, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon MWAA (Apache Airflow), and Amazon SageMaker.
n
- Experience designing lakehouse and up-to-date data platform architectures.
n
- Strong understanding of data warehouse, ETL/ELT, batch processing, and near real-time data processing patterns.
n
- Experience with Apache Iceberg or similar modern data lake technologies is highly regarded.
n
- Strong knowledge of conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional, and semantic data modelling.
n
- Experience designing governed reporting ecosystems and enterprise analytics platforms.
n
- Strong understanding of KPI standardisation, executive reporting, and dashboard governance.
n
- Experience rationalising fragmented reporting environments and enabling trusted enterprise reporting is highly desirable.
n
- Knowledge of metadata management, data catalogues, lineage, business glossaries, and report traceability.
n
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks covering quality, stewardship, privacy, and compliance.
n
- Knowledge of security, encryption, role-based access control, data masking, and regulatory compliance controls.
n
- Experience supporting financial reconciliation, auditability, compliance reporting, risk monitoring, or operational controls is advantageous.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business objectives into architectural outcomes.
n
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
