About this Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Payroll Officer to join our People, Culture & Environment team.
n
Reporting to the Payroll Services Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across the organisation. You will contribute to a broad range of payroll functions, ensuring employees are paid correctly, records are maintained accurately, and payroll processes meet legislative and organisational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
n

- Supporting the processing of fortnightly payroll and related reconciliations.
n
- Managing payroll transactions including employee commencements, departures, leave, allowances and salary adjustments.
n
- Assisting with month-end,
end-of-financial-year and Fringe Benefits Tax administration.
n
- Providing advice and support on payroll-related policies, awards and employment conditions.
n
- Preparing payroll reports and responding to employee payroll enquiries.
n
- Maintaining payroll records and ensuring employee data integrity.
n
- Supporting payroll system enhancements, testing activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Assisting with superannuation, salary packaging and compliance reporting requirements.
n
n
About You
n
You are a highly organised payroll professional who values accuracy, confidentiality and exceptional customer service. You enjoy building positive working relationships and can confidently manage competing priorities in a energetic environment.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a payroll administration or payroll officer role.
n
- Experience using iCHRIS/CHRIS21 is highly desirable.
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate outcomes.
n
- Experience using payroll and human resource information systems.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
n
- Well-developed analytical,
organisational and problem-solving skills.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
n
- A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
n
- Experience working within a not-for-profit environment will be highly regarded.
n
