About the role
n
The OOSH Educator is a member of the Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College Team. The role is primarily responsible for:
n
n
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children
n
- Contribute to the educational program under the direction of the OSHC Coordinator/Educational Leader to provide a high-quality program for all children
n
n
Assist with the smooth running of the OSHC service in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures under the direction of the OSHC Coordinator/Nominated Supervisor
n

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
n
- Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification
n
- Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
n
- Valid Working with Children Check
n
- Accredited Child Protection Training
n
- Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations
n
n
EXPERIENCE:
n
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Out of School Hours Care/Vacation Care Service.
n
- Previous experience in administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison.
n
- Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of service's requirements of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system and ability to perform software application for compliance
n
