We are seeking a proactive and experienced Commissioning Manager with a strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role requires proven experience in leading commissioning activities on complex projects, with well-developed client-facing skills and the ability to drive outcomes through structured planning and technical leadership. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads and Site Teams.
You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated water industry solutions, with a key focus on ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transition from construction to fully operational systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage commissioning activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans, procedures and documentation.
Coordinate commissioning inputs from project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders.
Manage commissioning budgets, resource forecasts and subcontractors while supporting commercial and contractual outcomes.
Plan and oversee testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance verification activities.
Lead and mentor commissioning engineers and commissioning specialists across multiple projects.
Ensure safe, compliant and efficient handover of operational systems to clients.
Skills and Experience:
Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related Engineering discipline
Demonstrated experience in commissioning of water or wastewater treatment facilities
Minimum 2-3 years of commissioning experience in water or wastewater treatment facilities
Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards relevant to commissioning and plant operations
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams through commissioning phases
Proficiency in project planning tools and commissioning systems
Strong leadership,
problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work collaboratively to resolve technical and delivery challenges
