Job Description

VE CONSTRUCTION is based in Melbourne and we are seeking a Formwork Carpenter in order to complete major construction projects around Victoria.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

n

Annual salary: 77'000 to 85,000 pa

n

Description of the position at VE CONSTRUCTION

n

n
- You will be required to cut, shape and join wood and other products using a range of hand tools, eg hammer, saw, planes and chisels
n
- You will be required to use power tools and machines
n
- Use your skills to set out and construct roofs, install floors, stairs and window
n
- Required to study drawings, perform craft calculations and select materials to meet design requirements
n
- Site work incudes the construction of buildings which require first and second fixing
n
- Knowledge of setting out, production and assembly of wood and material is essential
n
- Knowledge of and working to Health and Safety requirements
n




- Conduct productive communication through the various levels of authorities, sub-contractor and customers
n
- Report the completion of tasks and reporting to line manager
n
- Work individually and in a team environment
n
- Conduct Safe Work practices always
n
- Be willing to travel to various locations around the Victoria with nights away from home possibly required
n

The skills/qualifications required for the role:

n

n
- AQF IV with at least 2 years of the relevant experience OR three years full-time equivalent experience as a carpenter
n
- Take pride in your work
n
- Willing to travel and be away from home at times
n
- Able to work in a team and unsupervised
n
