Job Description

We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team in Macquarie Park.

n

This is a hands-on role with ownership across month-end, statutory reporting, treasury accounting and audit, while also playing an important role in improving financial processes and controls across the business.

n

You'll work closely with Financial Accounting, Shared Services, Commercial Finance, Group Finance and external auditors, giving you broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What you will do

n

n
- Own the treasury accounting process, including month-end close, reporting and audit activities.
n
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end, half-year and year-end financial reporting across consolidated and standalone accounts.
n
- Prepare statutory accounts and support the annual external audit process.
n
- Manage the lease register and related accounting processes.
n
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong financial controls and accuracy.
n
- Provide technical accounting guidance to business stakeholders.
n
- Support monthly consolidated Group results and financial reporting.
n
- Support due diligence and integration activity for acquisitions, disposals and business closures.
n
- Identify and deliver process improvement initiatives across financial reporting, systems and controls.
n
- Contribute to broader Finance projects and initiatives as required.

What you will bring

We're looking for a technically strong accountant who is proactive, curious and comfortable taking ownership.

n

You will bring:

n

n




- Degree qualified in Commerce or Accounting and CA qualified.
n
- Previous experience within a Big 4 accounting firm.
n
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability.
n
- Experience with treasury accounting, leases and financial close processes.
n
- SAP and BPC experience is advantageous.
n
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
n
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
n
- A proactive, autonomous approach with strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- Experience working with offshore accounting teams is advantageous.
n
- A continuous improvement mindset and a genuine desire to find better ways of working.
