We are currently seeking an experienced Garden Maintenance Team Leader to manage a portfolio of established residential gardens.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced horticulturist who can do more than maintain a garden — we are looking for someone who can take ownership of their gardens, plan ahead, identify improvements and ensure each garden continues to develop and look its best throughout the year.

You will be responsible for regularly maintaining and managing a portfolio of clients, supported by our wider gardening team. A fully equipped company van, tools and uniforms are provided during working hours.

An immediate start is available to allow time for training and familiarisation with our clients and gardens.

Garden Maintenance Team Leader – Premium Residential Gardens

The Role
n
As a Team Leader, you will be expected to:
n
n
- Take ownership of a portfolio of regular residential gardens
n
- Plan and prioritise work across each garden
n
- Identify plants that are declining, unsuccessful or require replacement
n
- Recommend appropriate replacement plants and garden improvements
n
- Anticipate seasonal horticultural requirements
n
- Maintain high standards of pruning, hedging, lawn care and general garden presentation
n
- Identify work that needs to be undertaken without relying on continual direction
n
- Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
n
- Lead and support other gardeners working alongside you
n
- Ensure our gardens consistently meet the standard expected of a premium garden maintenance service
n
n
Requirements for the Role
n
n
- Certificate III in Horticulture or higher qualification
n
- Minimum 2 years' professional garden maintenance experience
n
- Strong plant and horticultural knowledge
n
- Previous experience leading or supervising others
n
- Excellent organisational and forward-planning skills
n
- Strong communication and client service skills
n
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your gardens
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Australian working rights
n
n
