What you need to know

- $28.31 per hour base rate (Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm)

- $42.47 per hour Sunday rate (9:00am to 11:00pm), plus above-award pay and applicable penalty rates, including weekends and public holidays

Additional Information
n
n
- Permanent Part-Time opportunities available at 40, 50, or 60 hours per fortnight
n
- Rotating roster between 8:30am and 9:00pm on weekdays and weekends
n
- Availability to work 3 out of every 4 weekends, including both Saturday and Sunday
n
n
November to January is one of IKEA's busiest trading periods. To support our customers during this time, we prefer co-workers not to plan holidays during these months and to maintain availability throughout the peak period.

About this work area
n
As a Sales Co-worker, you'll help create an inspiring and seamless shopping experience for our customers. Working across Showroom, Markethall and Self-Serve Warehouse departments, you'll combine customer interaction with hands-on store tasks.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Approaching customers, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable home furnishing solutions.
n
- Actively selling the IKEA range and promoting services to enhance the customer experience.
n
- Keeping your area clean, well-stocked, organised and correctly priced.
n
- Maintaining and refreshing displays through basic visual merchandising and stock condensing.
n
- Replenishing stock and preparing sales spaces using safe manual handling techniques.
n
- Assembling products to ensure strong presentation and functionality.
n
- Using IKEA systems to provide accurate product information and support order placement.
n
- Working collaboratively with your team and other departments to deliver great results.
n
n
You're friendly, proactive, and enjoy working with people. You take pride in delivering great results, bring a positive attitude to everything you do, and are comfortable balancing customer service with hands‐on responsibilities.

Preferred experience

- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or showroom sales.

- Experience working in a fast‐paced, customer‐focused environment.
n
- Confidence in supporting sales objectives and contributing to the achievement of targets and KPIs.
