About the Role

n

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join a growing renewable energy business, working across utility-scale Solar PV, BESS and hybrid projects.

n

You will lead and coordinate design development from early-stage concept through to construction, working closely with development, engineering, procurement, consultants, contractors and network stakeholders.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead design development across Solar PV, BESS and hybrid projects.
n
- Develop and optimise conceptual designs around site constraints, CAPEX, OPEX, reliability and performance.
n
- Manage external design consultants and review their technical outputs.
n
- Coordinate engineering disciplines and key project interfaces.
n
- Work with procurement and engineering teams on equipment selection and design requirements.
n
- Manage TNSP design interfaces and identify potential project risks early.
n
- Review contractor designs to ensure alignment with project requirements.
n




- Develop standardised design approaches to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
n

About You

n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Strong experience in renewable energy design, ideally across Solar PV and BESS.
n
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical design practices.
n
- Experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and external consultants.
n
- Ability to review and challenge designs from a whole-of-project perspective.
n
- Strong understanding of project schedules, risk and commercial considerations.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused.
n
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
n
