Sigma Aerospace is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Avionics Technician or Aviation Tradesperson to transition their technical expertise into a rewarding training and mentoring role supporting the RAAF C-27J Spartan fleet.

n

About the Role

n

You'll deliver both classroom and practical training to aircraft maintenance personnel, helping students develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in a Defence aviation environment.

- Deliver technical aircraft maintenance training in classroom and practical environments.
n
- Assess student competency and provide coaching and mentoring.
n
- Prepare and deliver training and assessments in accordance with approved programs.
n
- Maintain and continuously improve courseware, learning materials and training resources.
n
- Support students throughout their learning journey and ensure training outcomes are achieved.
n
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
n
- Work closely with Defence personnel and industry stakeholders.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the training environment.
n

About You

n





We're looking for an experienced aviation professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing people and helping others succeed.

n

n
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Mechanical or Avionics.
n
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and systems.
n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
n
- The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
n
- A genuine interest in training, coaching and mentoring the next generation of aviation professionals.
n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- Defence aviation experience.
n
- Experience working with the C-27J Spartan or similar Defence aircraft.
n
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
n
- Previous experience delivering technical training or mentoring apprentices/engineers.
n
