Randstad is currently working with a Queensland Government Department to find a Data Engineer / Report Developer on an initial 12 month contract with potential of extension.

Role: Data Engineer / Report Developer

Client: Queensland Government Department

Office Location: Brisbane CBD, Queensland

Contract Length: 12 Months with potential of extension

Pay Rate: $931.03 a day inclusive of super ($831.28 a day + super)

Weekly Hours: 38 Hours per week

Requested Tech Stack: SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, ETL, Microsoft DevOps.

- Analyse, detail, and document comprehensive reporting and data requirements.
- Undertake ETL development and optimize performance across SQL Server and MS Fabric.
- Develop CI/CD deployment pipelines utilizing Microsoft DevOps.
- Design and implement operational data stores alongside semantic models.




- Create and deliver interactive reports utilizing Power BI to meet core business needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

- High-level expertise in Microsoft data suite (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), MS Fabric, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience in data warehouse development, ETL workflows, and data mapping.
- Solid understanding of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data modeling.
- Proven track record of collaborating with business SMEs to refine requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills paired with strong stakeholder management.
