Engineering Trades Australia (ETA) is currently seeking experienced Electricians with strong heavy industrial, brownfields construction and telecommunications/testing experience for a project at the Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter in Portland, Victoria.
n This is an initial short term project, with the client holding a 3-year contract, providing strong potential for ongoing work for the right candidates.

- Duration: Initial short term, with potential for ongoing work

- Roster: 9-day fortnight / 8-hour days, with an initial 38-hour week
n
- Pay Rate: $64.31 per hour + penalties + allowances
n
- Overtime: Initially 38 hours per week, so no overtime anticipated at commencement
n

About the Role
n
Working within a live heavy industrial environment, you will be involved in a range of brownfields construction and electrical installation activities, including:
n

- Pulling and installing CAT 6 cabling
n
- Installing media converters
n
- Rewiring conveyors
n
- Installing 6-foot screens
n
- Electrical testing and fault finding
n
- Telecommunications installation and testing
n
- General electrical installation and maintenance associated with the project
n
n
Requirements
n
To be considered, you will need:
n
n
- Current Victorian Electrical License
n
- Proven heavy industrial electrical experience
n
- Previous brownfields construction experience
n
- Telecommunications/data cabling experience
n
- Solid electrical testing and fault-finding skills
n
- EWP High Risk Work License - desirable
n
- Working at Heights - desirable
n
- Confined Space & Gas Test - desirable
n
- LVR CPR
n
- Ability to work safely within a live industrial environment
n
- Must be clean shaven to comply with face-fit respiratory protection requirements
n
