The Opportunity
n
We are seeking two passionate and experienced Diploma-qualified educators to join our largest long day care and integrated kindergarten service in Keilor East, with one permanent full-time position and one temporary full time position available until May 2026.
n
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a well-established early years' service that provides education and care for children from infancy through to kindergarten. As part of a collaborative team, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through engaging play-based experiences, responsive interactions and strong partnerships with families.
n
Working alongside Early Childhood Teachers and fellow educators, you will contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
- Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging, play-based learning programs
n
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
- Use intentional teaching strategies to support children's learning, development and wellbeing
n
- Contribute to curriculum planning, documentation, assessment and reflective practice
n
- Provide leadership and guidance within the learning environment and support best practice across the team
n
- Work in accordance with the Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and approved learning frameworks
n
- Foster inclusive environments that promote children's sense of belonging, participation and confidence
n
- Support high-quality education and care practices across the service
n
n
About You
n
n
- Diploma of Children's Services (or equivalent) recognised by the Department of Education
n
- Experience working within long day care or early childhood education settings
n
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework and Child Safe Standards
n
- Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support educator practice
n
- Strong communication, organisational and reflective practice skills
n
- Passion for inclusive, child-centred and culturally responsive education
n
n
You will also hold:
n
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management qualifications
n
- Protecting Children: Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector training
n
- National Child Safety Training (Modules 1 and 2)
n
n
