The Eva Copper Mine Project islocatedon the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People inNorth WestQueensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.The Project is aniron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity:

Roster: 8 Days on, 6 Days off | Location: Eva Copper, Queensland | Employment Type: Permanent Fulltime

Thiess is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Finance & Administration Manager where you will provide professional adviceand support tothe project regarding its financial accountability and controlswhilst ensuring financial performance targets are achieved.

Working a 8/6 roster your duties will include:

- Ensure timely completion of EOM deliverables and reports
- Facilitate monthly cost reviews including analysis of key variances to budget
- The key contributor to cost build ups for the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Drive financial awareness across the site and ensure financial practices are in line with company policy
- Ensure financial risks are identified at an early stage




- Communicate effectively with internal and external key personnel and stakeholders

About you

- CPA or CA qualified (or in progress)
- Relevant years of post-qualification experience – mining or heavy industry experience would be highly regarded
- Previous JDE experience highly regarded
- Proficient in MS Office, strong emphasis on Excel
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and multi-task as required
- Drive safety, culture, and productivity in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence across the siteW
