JENNINGS, PAUL FRANCIS JEREMY JENNINGS, PAUL FRANCIS JEREMY is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter (ANZSCO 332211) to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and surface preparation work across residential and commercial projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their workmanship and can deliver exceptional results with minimal supervision.

Task & responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and sealing cracks and holes before painting or finishing.
n
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
n
- Mix and match paints to required colours and consistency.
n
- Erect scaffolding and ladders safely to access difficult areas.
n
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
n




- Protect surrounding areas and furniture from paint splashes and damage.
n
- Perform quality inspections to ensure finishes meet required standards.
n
- Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
n
- Liaise with clients, builders, and supervisors to ensure work is completed on time and to expectations.
n
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements on-site.

Qualification & experience

n

n
- Minimum Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
n
- At least 1 year of full time work experience in a similar role.
n
- Sound knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods.
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
n
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
n
- Current driver's licence preferred.
n
- Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to different job sites as required.
