Senior Legal Counsel, Workplace Health & Safety

We have partnered with a national federal organisation who are seeking a senior level WHS/ Employment lawyer with 7 + years experience to join their high-performing team.

n

This prospect offers broad ranging work which will see you advising on a range of WHS investigations, WHS projects and general employment litigation for an extended contract term of 10 months, with the strong possibility of extension for an additional 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Leading and advising on workplace investigations, fact-finding and interviewing;
n
- Advising on employment compliance, employee relations, restructuring;
n
- Advising on employment contracts, advising on policies, project based employment matters;
n
- Supporting on WHS matters,



enquiries and investigations;
n
- Representing clients in complex employment disputes in a range of jurisdictions.
n

Ideal Candidate

n

n
- Senior level lawyer (at least 7 + years PQE) with a strong employment, WHS or workplace relations background;
n
- Proven ability to manage WHS investigations and sensitive workplace matters;
n
- Strong drafting, advisory and client management skills;
n
- Experience in employment, workplace health and safety litigation.
n
- Security Clearance required for this role.
